Elegbeleye made the position known on Friday while speaking to Journalists at the ongoing 2025/2026 NPFL Annual General Meeting and draw for the new season in Ibadan, amid alleged letter submitted by the Imo State-based club sell its slot to a new owner through the sale of its majority shares to a prospective buyer. Rssponding to whether he is aware of any recent letter submitted by the team to sell its slot, the chairman noted that he's not aware of such development, even as he confirmed that Kun Khalifat had submitted a similar request last season when it was relegation-troubled, but the league rejected it.
