Olanrewaju Marks Shooting Stars Home Debut With Goal, Vows to Keep Helping Team Win

Ridwan Olanrewaju marked his first home appearance for Shooting Stars in memorable fashion, scoring the opening goal in their 2-0 victory over Katsina United in an NPFL Matchday 5 encounter.

The forward opened the scoring for the Oluyole Warriors, setting the tone for a convincing home victory and giving the club's supporters another reason to celebrate.

For Olanrewaju, the goal was particularly significant as it came in his first home game since joining the Ibadan-based side.

"I'm really excited and proud of the goal. It feels great to contribute to the team, especially in my first home game with the new club," Olanrewaju said after the game.

The attacker, who recently returned from a season in Europe, revealed that he initially joined Shooting Stars on trial before earning the opportunity to sign for the club.

"After my season in Europe, I came back for a trial with Shooting Stars. The coaches gave me a chance to sign with the club, and I'm really excited to be here and looking forward to the season," he added.

The goal has given Olanrewaju a positive start to his new chapter with the Oluyole Warriors, but the forward says he is focused on doing more for the team as the campaign progresses.

"I'd like to keep improving every match and help the team win more games," he said.

With his first home appearance already producing a goal, Olanrewaju will now be looking to build on the performance, contribute more goals and assists, and continue helping Shooting Stars achieve positive results throughout the season.
