Commissioner Saina Buba Meets El-Kanemi Warriors FC Family, Reaffirms Commitment to Discipline and Welfare
The Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development and Poverty Alleviation, Borno State, Comrade Saina Buba, has held a meeting with the Board Members, Technical Crew, Backroom Staff and players of El-Kanemi Warriors FC at the Colonel Abdulmumin Aminu Camp, Maiduguri.

The work focused Commissioner began the meeting by congratulating the entire El-Kanemi Warriors FC family, as well as the club’s supporters across the world, for the remarkable progress and successes recorded by the team so far, particularly in the ongoing continental campaign.

Comrade Saina Buba used the opportunity to emphasize the importance of discipline, unity and commitment among the players and staff. He urged everyone associated with the club to maintain the highest standards of discipline, stressing that discipline is essential for sustained success.

“I want each and everyone in the team to be disciplined so that we can go a long way. I want a highly disciplined team because with discipline comes success. I want to point this out to all of you here: you must be disciplined if you want to continue here.”

In another major announcement, Comrade Saina Buba directed that match bonuses be paid to the players, management, technical crew and backroom staff, including members of the team who remained at home during the club’s recent continental assignment and also ordered for the increment of salary and Staff.

The announcement was met with loud applause and jubilation from the hall, as players and staff expressed their appreciation for the attention being given to their welfare.

The Commissioner also directed that home based players should be given opportunities to develop and become part of the club’s long term plans.

“I want the home-based players to be developed. They will be useful to the state and their families.”

At the end of the meeting, players and staff expressed their appreciation to Comrade Saina Buba for his continued efforts toward improving their welfare and for putting smiles on their faces.

El-Kanemi Warriors FC remains committed to discipline, unity, talent development and representing Borno State with pride on the national and continental stage.

Meet Ilorin-born Soliu Ajia Yakubu,Flying Eagles Goalkeeper for AFCON  An Ilorin-born goalkeeper, Soliu Ajia Yakubu, will wear the Nigerian badge at the upcoming U20 AFCON tournament in Egypt. The former Gidado Football Academy player was part of the squad listed for the AFCON final list by Coach Aliyu Zubairu. Soliu currently ply his trade in Serbian league with FK Novia Pazar.
