Borno Commissioner, Saina Buba hails Today's Super Store for donating wears to Elkanemi Warriors

The Honourable Commissioner for Youths, Sports Development and Poverty Alleviation, Borno State, Comrade Saina Buba, has showered praises on the Chief Executive Officer of Today's Super Store, Maiduguri, Alhaji Basiru Mai Today's, for his remarkable support and commitment to the development of sports in Borno State.

The energetic, intelligent and workaholic Commissioner expressed his excitement over the quality tracksuits donated to El-Kanemi Warriors FC by the CEO of Today's Super Store.

Comrade Saina Buba received the tracksuits in Ikenne when he paid a morale boosting visit to the players ahead of the highly anticipated CAF Confederation Cup encounter.

Expressing his satisfaction, the Commissioner said:

“I am excited. Alhaji Basiru has really tried, and In Sha Allah, El-Kanemi Warriors FC jersey will carry the name of his super store. The material is of very good quality. Kai gaskiya, abin yayi kyau”

The Commissioner commended Alhaji Basiru for identifying with El-Kanemi Warriors FC and contributing towards the success of the club, describing the gesture as a show of love, commitment and support for Borno State football.

Also speaking, the Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Alhaji Waziri Isa Mai Qatar, expressed his profound appreciation to Alhaji Basiru for the wonderful gesture.

He called on other well meaning sons and daughters of Borno State to emulate the exemplary support shown by the CEO of Today's Super Store.

According to the Chairman, El-Kanemi Warriors FC belongs to every son and daughter of Borno State, stressing that the responsibility of supporting the club should not be left to the government alone.

“Government should not be left alone to carry the responsibility of supporting our darling club. El-Kanemi Warriors FC is a home for all of us, and we must collectively contribute towards its growth and success".

On behalf of the management, technical crew, players and the teeming supporters of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, the Chairman once again expressed  gratitude to Alhaji Basiru Mai Today's for the generous donation of quality tracksuits to the team.

Meet Ilorin-born Soliu Ajia Yakubu,Flying Eagles Goalkeeper for AFCON  An Ilorin-born goalkeeper, Soliu Ajia Yakubu, will wear the Nigerian badge at the upcoming U20 AFCON tournament in Egypt. The former Gidado Football Academy player was part of the squad listed for the AFCON final list by Coach Aliyu Zubairu. Soliu currently ply his trade in Serbian league with FK Novia Pazar.
