Flamingos Coach Busari Ishola to Train Kwara Football Coaches



Head Coach of Nigeria's Under-17 Women's National Team, the Flamingos, Coach Busari Ishola, is set to headline the Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), Kwara State Chapter's Football Coaches Seminar scheduled to hold on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Kwara State Stadium Main Bowl in Ilorin.

The seminar, which forms part of the association's efforts to enhance the technical capacity and professional development of football coaches across the state, will bring together coaches for a day of theoretical and practical learning.

Coach Busari, who has earned recognition for his work with Nigeria's Flamingos, will deliver a presentation on "Scientific Methods in Football Coaching and the Importance of Minor Games in Football." 

The session is expected to expose participants to modern coaching techniques, player development strategies, and the effective use of small-sided games in improving football performance.

Another major highlight of the seminar will be a lecture by Referee Instructor and Football Laws expert, Coach Ekun Shamsudeen Oluwatoyin, who will speak on "Operationalizing the 2026/2027 IFAB Laws of the Game to Enhance Tactical Decision-Making and Minimize Technical Errors." 

His presentation will focus on helping coaches better understand the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game and their practical application in coaching.

According to the NFCA, the seminar will also feature a practical coaching session designed to complement the classroom discussions, giving participants the opportunity to apply modern coaching concepts in real-life scenarios.

The association has fixed the registration fee at ₦3,000 for regular members who attend meetings consistently, while non-regular members will pay ₦5,000.

The NFCA described the programme as a valuable opportunity for coaches to update their technical knowledge, improve their coaching competence, and keep abreast of global best practices in football coaching.

The association has therefore urged football coaches across Kwara State to attend the seminar in large numbers and arrive promptly, noting that the event is aimed at raising the standard of football coaching and promoting continuous professional development within the state's football community.
