Niger FA Chairman commends 2025/2026 state Super League standard

The Chairman of the Niger State Football Association (NSFA), Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, has expressed satisfaction with the quality of players and the overall standard of teams participating in the ongoing 2025/2026 Niger State Super League Football Tournament.

Comrade Ahmed Fresh, who is also the Sardaunan Kwallon Nigeria and Chairman of Chairmen as well as a top-ranking official in the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), described the level of competition as highly commendable.

He praised both the players and the technical crews of the participating teams for their professionalism and dedication.

Speaking during an assessment of the competition on Saturday, at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna, the NSFA chairman noted that the current standard of play reflects the steady growth of football development in the state. According to him, Niger State is on course to become a dominant force in national leagues.

“We are going to dominate the Nigeria National League (NNL) and the Nationwide League One (NLO) in the near future,” Fresh stated confidently.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the state football association to grassroots development, emphasizing the importance of nurturing young talents across the state.

“The Niger State Football Association will continue to ensure active participation and encourage our grassroots potentials to excel, thereby promoting and developing football at the grassroots,” he added.

Comrade Ahmed Fresh also called on the participating teams to sustain the high level of discipline and sportsmanship demonstrated so far in the competition.

“I urge the teams to continue in this spirit and show the world our credibility. Let us continue to cherish our efforts and maintain discipline throughout the tournament,” he said.

He further assured stakeholders of the association’s unwavering support, urging all teams to remain focused and committed as the competition progresses.

“The State Football Association will continue to do its best. Let’s do it together,” he concluded.
