Bolaji Magaji Nda Wins 2026 Ilorin Emirate Durbar Best Costume Award 


The founder of BMN Stable and convener of the Kwara Horse Show, Ambassador Aliyu Bolaji Magaji Nda, has once again been awarded with the prestigious Best Costume  of the Year Award at the 2026 Ilorin Emirate Durbar which was held on the second day of Ileya.

The award was presented to Ambassador Magaji Nda on Monday by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR alongside the Chairman of Ilorin Durbar Committe, Engr. Sulaiman Alapansanpa during a brief ceremony held at the ancient Emir's Palace in Ilorin.

The recognition is a testament to Magaji Nda's consistent commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Ilorin Emirate through his outstanding appearance and participation in the annual Durbar celebration.

Known for his elegance and deep passion for equestrian culture, the BMN Stable founder has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in the Durbar procession over the years. His latest triumph adds to an impressive record, having won the coveted Best Costume Award on several previous occasions.

Speaking after receiving the award, Ambassador Magaji Nda expressed appreciation to the Emir of Ilorin and the Durbar committee for the recognition, describing it as an encouragement to continue supporting initiatives that preserve the emirate's cultural traditions.

Beyond his exploits at the Durbar, Magaji Nda is widely respected for promoting horse-riding culture in Kwara State through the annual Kwara Horse Show, a platform that has continued to attract horse enthusiasts, cultural stakeholders and tourists from within and outside the state.

His latest recognition further reinforces his status as one of the leading ambassadors of Ilorin's rich cultural and equestrian heritage.
