Aspirant for the Kwara State House of Assembly seat in Magaji Ngeri Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Abdulrasheed Olanrewaju Rocky, has formally declared his intention to contest, taking his message directly to Baboko Ward—his political base.

The declaration movement began from his family house, symbolizing a journey rooted in community and shared vision. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as supporters, party faithful, and well-wishers gathered in large numbers, forming a vibrant procession that moved through key areas before arriving at Baboko Ward.

At the ward, widely recognized as his home base, residents expressed excitement and pride in having one of their own step forward for the Assembly seat. Addressing the gathering, Hon. Rocky described himself as a true son of the soil, seeking the full backing of his people as he embarks on the political journey.

“I am your son, and I need your support,” he said, assuring them of his commitment to quality representation and pledging to attract the dividends of democracy to the constituency if elected.

He further emphasized his dedication to grassroots development and inclusive governance, noting that his ambition is driven by a genuine desire to serve and uplift the people of Magaji Ngeri Constituency.

Welcoming the aspirant, the APC Baboko Ward Chairman, Alhaji Saliu Owolaranfe, expressed satisfaction with the development, stating that the ward is proud and happy to have him as a contender. He also offered prayers and blessings for the success of his ambition.

The declaration was met with applause and enthusiasm from party members and residents, highlighting growing grassroots support and marking a significant step in Hon. Rocky’s bid for the House of Assembly seat.
