Johnson Onireti Football Foundation partners Ex-Ibadan professionals to advance talent development, sports programmes



The Ex Ibadan Professional Footballers Association (EIPFA) has continued to record major milestones in its drive towards sports growth and youth development with the announcement of another significant partnership, this time with the Johnson Onireti Football Foundation.

The new collaboration is expected to further strengthen EIPFA's activities and long-term vision by providing support in key operational and developmental areas. The partnership will focus on easing some of the association's responsibilities in areas such as logistics, organisation of football competitions, capacity-building initiatives, talent discovery programmes, and other developmental projects aimed at nurturing the next generation of athletes.

The agreement was officially sealed during a partnership meeting between the management of JOFF and the Chairman of Ex Ibadan Professional Footballers Association, Mr. Temitope Ademola Obideyi. Both parties expressed optimism that the collaboration would create more opportunities for young talents and further promote the development of football at the grassroots level.

The latest development adds to the growing list of strategic collaborations secured by EIPFA as the association continues to expand its footprint in sports development, education, and youth empowerment within Oyo State and beyond.

Meet Ilorin-born Soliu Ajia Yakubu,Flying Eagles Goalkeeper for AFCON  An Ilorin-born goalkeeper, Soliu Ajia Yakubu, will wear the Nigerian badge at the upcoming U20 AFCON tournament in Egypt. The former Gidado Football Academy player was part of the squad listed for the AFCON final list by Coach Aliyu Zubairu. Soliu currently ply his trade in Serbian league with FK Novia Pazar.
