Ilorin South Referees unveils kits donated by Canada-based Anchor Sports Management CEO, Oladele Oladimeji

The Ilorin South Referees Society on Friday officially unveiled a new set of uniforms donated by Anchor Sports Management and Media Consult during its end-of-season get-together held in Ilorin.

The uniforms were donated by the Chief Executive Officer of Anchor Sports Management and Media Consult, Mr. Oladele Oladimeji, a Canada-based sports entrepreneur, through the company's Continental Manager (Africa), Mr. Deji Awoyinka.

Anchor Sports Management and Media Consult is a leading 360-degree sports solutions company specializing in sports branding, media, marketing, talent management, and other sports development services.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Ilorin South Referees Society, Mr. Gbenga Olayinka, expressed appreciation to Mr. Oladimeji and Anchor Sports Management and Media Consult for the generous donation.

Olayinka described the gesture as a major boost to the society, noting that the new uniforms would further enhance the image and professionalism of referees under the association.

"We are grateful to Anchor Sports Management and Media Consult and its CEO, Mr. Oladele Oladimeji, for this support. The donation will go a long way in motivating our members and improving our appearance during officiating assignments," he said.

Representing the donor, Mr. Deji Awoyinka reaffirmed the company's commitment to sports development across Africa, stressing that supporting sports officials and stakeholders remains part of the organization's vision of advancing the sporting industry on the continent.

The event also provided an opportunity for members of the Ilorin South Referees Society to celebrate the successful conclusion of the football season, reflect on their achievements, and strengthen camaraderie among members.

The gathering attracted referees and sports stakeholders, who commended Anchor Sports Management and Media Consult for its contribution to the growth and development of refereeing and grassroots sports.

Meet Ilorin-born Soliu Ajia Yakubu,Flying Eagles Goalkeeper for AFCON  An Ilorin-born goalkeeper, Soliu Ajia Yakubu, will wear the Nigerian badge at the upcoming U20 AFCON tournament in Egypt.
