Aliu Olamilekan Bello picks nomination form for Ilorin South constituency seat

…says ambition is about our future, not just politics


The founder of AOB Foundation, Aliu Olamilekan Bello, has taken a significant step in his political journey by picking up his nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the Ilorin South Constituency seat at the Kwara State House of Assembly in 2027.

The development comes shortly after his earlier declaration at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in Balogun Fulani Ward II, which attracted a massive turnout of party faithful and supporters.

Addressing his supporters and the people of Ilorin South, Bello described the moment as a defining one, stressing that his ambition goes beyond politics.

“My people of Ilorin South, today isn’t just about picking up a nomination form. It’s about answering a call—a call to serve, to stand, and to fight for our progress and shared prosperity,” he said.
“I have officially stepped forward to contest for the House of Assembly seat come 2027. This is bigger than politics; this is about our future.”

Popularly known as “AOB” and “Mr Empowerment,” Bello highlighted key areas of focus, emphasizing the need for inclusive development across all segments of the constituency.

“Our youths need opportunities. Our mothers deserve support. Our fathers deserve a better life,” he stated.
He further called on traders, students, artisans, and elders to rally behind his vision, promising representation that listens, acts, and delivers tangible results.
“I’m not here with empty promises. I’m here with a genuine commitment to a better future for us all. This movement belongs to everyone—young and old, market women, farmers, students, every son and daughter of Ilorin South. Let’s build it together,” Bello added.
Bello’s latest move has further strengthened his position in the race, with political observers noting that his grassroots appeal, track record of empowerment initiatives, and growing support base continue to reshape the dynamics of the Ilorin South political landscape.
His campaign, driven by the #AOB4IlorinSouthAssembly and #SupportAOBToday messages, is already gaining traction among constituents eager for impactful and responsive representation.
