Aare Musbau Celebrates Sporting Lagos’ NNL Title, Backs Kwara United Ahead Enyimba Clash

Aare Musbau, the Aare Bobajiroro of Offa Land in Kwara State has expressed delight following the triumph of Sporting Lagos in the Nigeria National League Super Four held in Ikenne on Friday.

Despite suffering a 1-0 defeat to Inter Lagos in their final game, Sporting Lagos still emerged champions on goal difference to secure a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Reacting after the achievement, Aare Musbau who is an ardent fan and supporter of Sporting Lagos described the title win and promotion as a great honour, expressing happiness over the club’s return to the Nigerian topflight.

According to him, Sporting Lagos’ impressive away form played a crucial role in their successful campaign, especially after a difficult period when the team dropped points at home.

He admitted that he became skeptical at some stage of the season following one or two disappointing home results, but noted that the team’s strong performances on the road provided the needed momentum to finish top of the table.

Aare Musbau also stated that the club has learnt valuable lessons from its previous experience in 2023, adding that spending two seasons in the NNL has helped the team mature and prepare better for life in the NPFL.

He expressed confidence that Sporting Lagos would perform much better in the upcoming topflight campaign.

Speaking on Kwara United ahead of their crucial clash against Enyimba FC on Sunday in Lagos, the football enthusiast who is also the CEO of Zeems Sports Arena in Offa urged the Ilorin-based side to maintain their current momentum.

The Offa Chief who also support Kwara united passionately stressed that there is no room for mistakes at this stage of the season and advised the team to remain focused and make the most of their scoring opportunities against Enyimba.
