The Khadijat Toyin Musah Foundation (KTM Foundation) has marked its 7th anniversary, celebrating seven years of impactful service, community development, and humanitarian efforts since its establishment in April 2019.
The anniversary reflects a journey rooted in compassion and measurable impact, with the foundation contributing significantly to societal development through its various programs and initiatives.
KTM Foundation’s core areas of focus include health education, cancer awareness, maternal and child health, youth and women empowerment, girl-child initiatives, and sports development. Through these efforts, the foundation has continued to empower individuals and strengthen communities across multiple states in Nigeria.
Founded by Ilorin-born distinguished scholar, Professor Khadijat Toyin Musah, a Pioneer Professor of Nursing Science at the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa, the foundation has distinguished itself through its people-centered and impact-driven approach.
Over the years, KTM Foundation has played a critical role in public health advocacy, notably contributing to awareness and prevention efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The foundation has also strengthened its impact through strategic collaborations and outreach programs, including its partnership with Next Gen Africa Foundation, Abuja, and the implementation of the Cancer Awareness Project at Ilesha Grammar School, Osun State, aimed at promoting early detection and healthy living among students.
In addition, the foundation successfully organized a Childhood Cancer Awareness Webinar, engaging healthcare professionals and stakeholders on improving early detection and survival outcomes in children.
One of its landmark initiatives includes a statewide cycling competition held across the three senatorial districts of Kwara State in 2022, which served as a platform to discover and nurture young cycling talents.
Speaking on the occasion of the anniversary, Professor Khadijat Toyin Musah described the milestone as a reflection of dedication, resilience, and collective effort, noting the foundation’s achievements across its focus areas.
She further emphasized that with a growing network of over 900 volunteers nationwide, the foundation remains committed to building healthier, more informed, and resilient communities.
The founder expressed deep appreciation to all individuals and partners who have contributed to the growth of the foundation and reaffirmed the commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.
