Ilorin Emirate Safety Education and Advocacy Initiative commends IGP, celebrates promotion of Jimoh Mashood to AIG

The Ilorin Emirate Safety Education and Advocacy Initiative (ISEAi) has congratulated senior police officer Jimoh Mashood on his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), describing the elevation as well deserved.

In a statement issued by its Coordinator, Sulu-Gambari Suleiman Yerima, the organisation said the promotion is a recognition of Mashood’s dedication, professionalism and commitment to public safety.

ISEAi expressed confidence that the new rank would further enhance strategic collaboration between the non-governmental organisation and the Nigeria Police Force in promoting security awareness and strengthening community safety initiatives.

The group also commended the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for sustaining what it described as a merit-based promotion system within the Force, noting that the development continues to inspire professionalism among officers.

While wishing Mashood success in his new role, the organisation reiterated its commitment to supporting security agencies through advocacy, education and community engagement aimed at improving safety across communities.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
