ABS Ilorin FC remain focused despite goalless draw against City FC- Coach Ogundeji

Head Coach of ABS Ilorin FC, Coach Joel Ogundeji, has insisted that his side remains fully focused and undistracted despite their goalless draw against CTFC in their latest Nigeria National League fixture.

ABS Ilorin FC were held to a 0-0 stalemate by the Abuja-based side in a tightly contested encounter on Saturday, but Coach Ogundeji maintained during the post-match hangout that the result has not affected the team’s ambition or drive.

According to the tactician, the players demonstrated discipline, organisation and commitment throughout the match, even though they were unable to convert their chances.

“We are still very much on course,” Ogundeji said confidently. “The boys are focused and not distracted by today’s result. Every match is a learning process, and we will continue to improve where necessary.”

Speaking further on the team’s inability to find the back of the net, the coach admitted there is room for improvement in attack.

“We know we have to improve on our goalscoring abilities,” he added. “We created chances, but we must be more clinical in front of goal. We will go back to training and work seriously on our finishing to ensure we convert those opportunities in our next matches.”

He further reassured supporters that the team’s target in the Nigeria National League remains clear, emphasizing that ABS Ilorin FC are building steadily and are determined to finish the season on a high note.

With the season entering a crucial stage, ABS Ilorin FC will now shift focus to their next NNL fixture as they continue their push for a strong finish to the campaign.
