Kay Cup Football Competition 7th Edition Kicks Off December 1 in Ilorin


The stage is set for another thrilling edition of grassroots football as the Kay Cup Football Competition 7.0 kicks off on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the Kwara Football Academy (KFA) Pitch, Ilorin.

Organised by Mr. Marrazina Coker and sponsored by Olukayode Atoyebi Foundation, the annual tournament has become one of Ilorin’s most anticipated local football events, providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and compete for glory.

According to the organizers, the opening match will commence at 9:45 a.m., marking the beginning of several weeks of intense football action among community teams across Kwara State and beyond.

Over the years, the Kay Cup has built a reputation for discovering budding football stars and promoting unity through sports. This 7th edition promises to be even more exciting, with increased participation and improved organization.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
