Dollyp Academy partners GSL Network to explore Africa football market
The representative of GSL Global Network, a leading football talent scouting and management firm, Fillip Stanoyevich, has said that the future of global football lies in Africa, with Nigeria playing a central role in shaping tomorrow’s stars.
Stanoyevich made this known in Ilorin at the end of a joint scouting exercise organized by GSL Network and DollyP Limited, a Kwara-based football academy.
“There is an abundance of talent in Nigeria, and for us at GSL, our interest is very much in Kwara and Ilorin,” he said.
He explained that while GSL has built a strong reputation in Asia for discovering and nurturing young footballers, its current focus is on Africa, where the next generation of world-class players is emerging.
According to him, the company took its time to identify the right partner and found DollyP Academy “worthy because of its pedigree and track record in youth development.”
In his remarks, Ahmed Yusuf, proprietor of DollyP Limited, expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting that the partnership would expose local players to international opportunities.
“The partnership puts us on the global map,” Yusuf said, adding that DollyP’s vision aligns with GSL’s goal of grooming raw talents into professional footballers capable of competing on the world stage.
The Ilorin event drew young players from across Kwara State and neighbouring regions, underscoring Nigeria’s growing reputation as a fertile ground for football talent.
