Coach Aliyu Zubair speaks ahead of Egypt Super Cup clash against Al Ahly 



Nigerian coach Aliu Zubair, the manager of Telecom Egypt SC, spoke about his team’s anticipated clash against Al Ahly in the Round of 32 of the Egypt Cup, stressing that the match represents a major opportunity for his players to prove their abilities.

Zubair told Korabia in exclusive statements that facing Al Ahly is an exceptional occasion for any player or coach, explaining: “Facing Al Ahly is a great opportunity for every coach and player.”

The Telecom Egypt manager added that his team enters the match without any pressure, noting that this factor could give his players an advantage to deliver a strong performance. He said:

“Just to clarify to people, the Telecom Sports team feels no pressure when facing Al Ahly. It might even be the opposite, and this will give my players the chance to perform well and prove themselves.”

Zubair also pointed out that Ahmed Sayed “Zizo” is currently Al Ahly’s standout player, thanks to the impactful attacking solutions he provides.

He concluded by expressing confidence in his players’ focus on matchday, saying: “I feel that Telecom Egypt’s players will maintain their concentration and alertness on the day of the match.”

The Round of 32 draw of the Egypt Cup had pitted Al Ahly against Telecom Egypt in a highly anticipated encounter expected to draw significant fan interest.
