Lagos is set to witness one of its most exciting youth football spectacles as Springsoca United Academy rolls out the Future Starz Championship (Private Schools Invitational Tournament) — a premier competition designed to uncover and nurture the next generation of football talents from private schools across the state.

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2025, will hold at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, and will feature eight top-tier private schools including Covenant Child College, Prestige Group of Schools, Princeton College, and CIFMAN College, among others.

The tournament will be contested in two main categories:Junior Secondary (Male & Female) – Ages 9–12 and Senior Secondary (Male & Female) – Ages 14–16

According to the organizers, the Future Starz Championship aims to provide a professional platform for young school players to showcase their abilities, gain structured competitive experience, and attract scouting opportunities into Springsoca United Academy (SUA) — in line with the academy’s vision of grooming football excellence from the grassroots.

Event highlights include tournament matches, a skills challenge, awards and trophy presentation, and media coverage, ensuring participants enjoy both recognition and visibility.

Speaking ahead of the championship, Emmanuel Oladapo, Director and Founder of Springsoca United Academy, reaffirmed the academy’s mission to use football as a tool for talent discovery and youth empowerment.

“We believe Nigeria’s future football stars are right here in our schools. This championship gives them the right platform to express their potential and begin their journey toward greatness,” Oladapo stated.

Participation in the championship is strictly by invitation, with free registration for the selected schools.

The event enjoys the backing of notable partners including Planet Bottling Company, True Source, Cidim Sports, Ufitfly, and HelpStation Medics

Football fans, parents, and talent scouts are invited to witness the emergence of tomorrow’s football icons as the Future Starz Championship takes center stage in Lagos.
