NEW DATE ALERT: Springsoca United Reschedules “Future Starz Championship” to November 4



Springsoca United Academy has announced a new date for its highly anticipated Future Starz Championship (Private Schools Invitational Tournament) — now scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The youth football spectacle, originally slated for November 5, promises to bring together some of Lagos’ brightest school talents in what is expected to be one of the city’s most exciting grassroots competitions of the year.

The exclusive invitational tournament will feature eight elite private schools, including Covenant Child College, Prestige Group of Schools, Princeton College, and CIFMAN College, competing across two categories of Junior Secondary (Male & Female) – Ages 9–12 and Senior Secondary (Male & Female) – Ages 14–16

According to the organizers, the change in date is to ensure optimal logistics and participation of all invited schools. They reaffirmed that the event’s objectives remain unchanged — to provide a structured platform for young players to showcase their skills and earn scouting opportunities into Springsoca United Academy (SUA).

Speaking ahead of the championship, Emmanuel Oladapo, Founder and Director of Springsoca United Academy, said the initiative is part of the academy’s ongoing commitment to discovering and nurturing future football stars from schools across Lagos.

“We are passionate about empowering every child through football. This championship gives students the platform to express their talents and gain exposure that could shape their sporting future,” Oladapo stated.

The event will also feature side attractions such as a Skills Challenge, Award and Trophy Presentation, and Media Coverage, giving participants both recognition and visibility.

Participation remains strictly by invitation, and registration is free for the selected schools. The championship enjoys sponsorship support from Planet Bottling Company, True Source, Cidim Sports, Ufitfly, and HelpStation Clinic

Football enthusiasts, parents, and scouts are encouraged to attend as the next generation of Future Starz take center stage at the Legacy Pitch on November 4th.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
