Kano Pillars Takes On Plateau United In Gusau Ahlan Cup Final

The stage is set for the final of the 2025 edition of the Gusau Ahlan Cup between Kano Pillars and Plateau United here in Lafia on Friday.

Emerging from group C, despite topping the group, Kano Pillars lost to Plateau United at the group stage when goals from Samuel Kalu and Albert Hillary secured the maximum points for the Jos based side despite a late goal from Ahmed Musa.

Since the encounter Pillars have been impressive with three straight wins scoring 9 goals in the process.

Plateau United have been consistent with their results as they remain unbeaten to this stage.

With three draws and two wins Plateau United under the tutelage of Adesola Adegun have shown that they are ready for the league proper.

Their biggest result was the win against Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium with goals from Joshua Dabo and Maren Kefas silencing the fans at the stadium.

This final will be more like a revenge mission for the Sai Maisugida after losing in the group stage against the same foes.

Kano Pillars will look at the duo of Ahmed Musa and Aliyu Umar who have both contributed 7 of their 9 goals while Plateau United will look up to the likes of Albert Hillary, Samuel Kalu, Gift Osadebe and the likes for the inspiration to win their first ever Gusau/Ahlan Cup.

The game will be played in Lafia and will be shown life on a link that will be provided by the organizers.

The battle of the Titans is expected to draw out fans from across the country as the NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau will be on ground with the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State Engr. Abdullahi Sule will lead all state executives to the grand finale.
