Groupings for Niger State Governor's Cup 2025 unveiled 


LAST YEAR'S RUNNERS UP, LAVUN GETS GROUP B GROUPING AS NIGER STATE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION CONDUCTS AND UNVEILS 2025 GOVERNOR’S CUP DRAWS IN BORGU.

The Niger State Football Association has officially unveiled the group stage draws for the 2025 Governor’s Cup football competition. 

The biggest soccer fiesta in the state is scheduled to take place in Borgu LGA later this year. The tournament is expected to assemble all the 25 local government football teams to battle for supremacy.

Lavun local government is grouped in group B alongside host Borgu LGA in the draws released. The Ezonuwan of Kutigi troops will slog it out alongside close neighbours Edati, Munya and host Borgu LGA in what promises to be an exciting group stage matches.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt. Coach Aliyu has earlier won the heart of Nigerians after leading the team to WAFU-B championship back in October last year and he's banking on their support again to win the AFCON
