GOVERNOR'S CUP 2025: Niger State Football Association pays courtesy visit to Emir of Borgu 

A delegation from the Niger State Football Association, led by Chairman Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, paid a courtesy visit to the Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Muhammad Sani Haliru Dantoro Kitoro IV, in his palace. The visit aimed to prepare for the upcoming Governor's Cup 2025, which Borgu Local Government will host.

The Emir, Barr. Muhammed Haliru S Dantoro, warmly received the delegation and expressed gratitude to Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh for choosing Borgu as the host venue. He offered prayers for the success of the tournament and bestowed royal blessings upon the delegation.

Following the meeting, the delegation proceeded to the venue of the draw, where the 25 local government sports secretaries awaited the grouping for the tournament.

During the visit, the Niger State Football Association hinted at providing humanitarian support, aligning with the administration's efforts to engage youths in productive activities.

The Governor's Cup 2025 promises to be an exciting event, promoting football development and unity across Niger State. With Borgu Local Government hosting, the tournament is expected to attract widespread participation and spectatorship.

Lapai Local Government was the last hosts and the defending champions of the Governor's Cup football competition.
