Ameen Yunus Akota delivers PRL first hat-trick of the season for La Planet


Gameweek 3 of the Pro Route League(PRL) witnessed pure magic from Ameen Yunus Akota, who powered La Planet FC to a dramatic 3–2 victory with the season’s first hat-trick.

Akota announced himself early, curling in a brilliant free-kick in the 3rd minute to give La Planet FC the lead. But the advantage didn’t last long, as Barrier FC struck back just eight minutes later to level the score.

The second half unfolded with even more drama. In the 79th minute, Akota coolly dispatched a penalty to restore La Planet’s lead, only for Barrier to respond in the 85th minute.

With the game on edge, Akota rose to the occasion once more. A superb long ball from Akeem Sa’ad found him in space, and he guided a precise header into the net to complete his hat-trick and secure all three points for La Planet FC.

This memorable performance not only handed La Planet a crucial win but also lifted Akota to the top of the goalscorer’s chart, where he now leads with 3 goals in 3 games. With momentum on his side, the race for the Golden Boot — and La Planet’s ambitions this season — have taken on a whole new edge.
