House of Prayer FA clinches historic 10th Editon of AMAPRO Championship title
House of Prayer Football Academy have emerged champions of the 10th AMAPRO Football Championship following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over debutant Discovery Talent FA.
The final of the 2025 edition decided at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of George Innih Stadium Ilorin on Sunday Evening lived up to its billing as a tense and tactical showdown, but it was Abdulganiyu Ridwan who etched his name into House of Prayer folklore with a 63rd-minute strike that ultimately sealed the win and the championship.
Both teams came into the contest unbeaten and brimming with confidence, but the early exchanges were marked by cautious play and disciplined defending.
Discovery Talents enjoyed more of the ball in the first half, probing for openings but failing to trouble the House of Prayer goalkeeper, Usman Sodiq.

Despite a spirited late push from Discovery Talent FA, who were playing in their debut AMAPRO tournament, the House of Prayer defense stood resolute, repelling waves of pressure to protect their narrow lead.
The final whistle was greeted with scenes of jubilation from the House of Prayer players and coaching crew as well as their supporters who are majorly members of the Church as they celebrated a landmark achievement in the Academy's history.

Discovery Talents, though disappointed, can hold their heads high after a remarkable run to the final in their first appearance at the AMAPRO Championship.

Adama Isiah won the Prince of AMAPRO for ending the tournament as the top scorer with five goals while Discovery Talent FA's Tukur Aliyu won the King of AMAPRO for his exceptional performance through the tournament.
