Pro Route League Playoffs Day 2: DollyP Academy, Gaa Akanbi FC Secure Wins

The Pro Route League Season 2 playoffs continued in thrilling fashion on Matchday 2 as teams battled fiercely to showcase their skill, determination, and tactical awareness. Each side was focused on securing their chance to get space in the full league.

In the first fixture, Dolly P SA demonstrated their attacking prowess with a convincing 4-1 victory over Harmony City SC. Nwankwo Ikechukwu was the star of the show, scoring a hat-trick with goals in the 26th, 36th, and 54th minutes. Harmony City SC’s Galadima Muhammed managed to pull one back in the 38th minute, but Ojukaiye Suraj sealed the victory for Dolly P SA with a goal in the 58th minute. Dolly P’s clinical finishing and organized gameplay proved too much for Harmony City to handle.

The second match saw Gaa Akanbi FC narrowly overcome Ka’ah FC in a closely contested encounter. Bakare Mukthar and Afeez Ibrahim put Gaa Akanbi ahead with early goals in the 11th and 12th minutes, establishing a strong lead. KA’AH FC fought back through Ahmed Sodiq’s goal in the 20th minute, but Gaa Akanbi held firm to secure a 2-1 win. The match featured solid defending and crucial saves, with Gaa Akanbi showing great composure to maintain their advantage until the final whistle.

With Dolly P SA and Gaa Akanbi FC both picking up vital wins, the playoff race intensifies as teams prepare for the upcoming fixtures. Fans can expect more high-stakes encounters as the battle to get space in the full league heats up.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
