After recording a disappointing goalles draw against ABS Ilorin FC and another 2-0 defeat to Offa FC, La Planet FC bounced back in style on matchday four of the ongoing NLO to secur a well-deserved 2-0 win over Gaa Akanbi FC on Thursday.

The game began with La Planet FC dominating possession and putting pressure on the Gaa Akanbi defense. Despite several close chances, the breakthrough finally came in the 30th minute when Mojeed Morrow played a smart through ball to Yusuf AbdulKareem, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner to give La Planet the lead, after masterfully beaten his marker.

GAA Akanbi tried to respond with attacking runs of their own but were unable to break through the resilient La Planet backline. The first half ended 1-0.

The second half saw increased response from GAA Akanbi, pushing hard for an equalizer. However, the defensive unit of Gideon Ayoola, Abdulhameed Lukmon, Samuel Afensumu, and Rasaq Yakub, alongside the brilliant Shehu Abdulquadri in goal, ensured that La Planet maintained their lead and kept a clean sheet.

In the 89th minute, Habeeb Morrow delivered a pinpoint free kick that found Gideon Ayoola, who sent it into the six-yard box. Teslim Morrow was quick to react and buried the ball from close range to make it 2-0 and seal the win.

A strong, united team performance, and a vital return to winning form for La Planet FC.

La Planet will race off with Dohz SA in their next league match scheduled for Sunday at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of George Innih Stadium in Ilorin.
