Nigerian Squash Queen Rofiat Shines for Kwara, Bags Three Gold Medal at Gateway Games 2024



Kwara’s squash sensation, Rofiat Abdulazeez, continues her impressive reign as Nigeria’s number one female squash player, securing an outstanding three gold medals and one silver at the just-concluded National Sports Festival, tagged “Gateway Games 2024,” in Ogun State.

Representing Kwara State with pride and passion, Rofiat, a native of Oyun Local Government Area, proved her dominance in the sport by claiming gold medals in the Singles, Doubles, and Team events, while finishing with a silver in the Mixed Doubles category.

This outstanding performance at the festival cements her place at the top of Nigeria’s squash rankings and adds to a growing list of national and international accolades.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
