Sunrise Football Academy unveils players, jerseys ahead of NLO kick off




Sunrise Football Academy have declared their readiness to rise above their opponents in the upcoming NLO 2025 season.

This was the highlight from the unveiling of new players and jerseys for the team ahead of the new football season which took place at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium in Ilorin on Saturday.

Sunrise Football Academy have declared their readiness to rise above their opponents in the upcoming NLO 2025 season.

This was the highlight from the unveiling of new players and jerseys for the team ahead of the new football season which took place at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the George Innih Stadium in Ilorin on Saturday.

No fewer than 35 players, who also modelled the new jerseys were unveiled, heralding a significant and remarkable moment in the history of the Academy.

The home jersey is largely red in colour with stripes of black, complemented by a black hose. The away jersey is an all white texture with stripes of blue, capped with a blue hose.
Kayode Adeniran, the Chairman of the Academy stated "We are coming into the NLO to compete and not make up the numbers. Our major target is to qualify for the NNL, and the boys are ready.

Adeniran added that discipline is the watchword of the team ,noting that the Academy is founded on the basis of helping talented footballers to reach maximise their talents and get more opportunities.

Also speaking,the Secretary of the club,Ridwan Ahmed stated that the boys are in high spirit, and will rise above their opponents. "We have prepared so well and the boys also understand what's at stake- although it's our first outing in the division but we are determined to make the best of it" he said. 

Sunrise will begin their NLO 2025 campaign on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 with a match against House of Prayers FA at 12pm.
