Kwara Refreees Council pays last respect to late NFRA President, Otunba Tade Azeez
Members of the Kwara State (Football)Refreees council are mourning the demise of the late President of the Nigeria (Football) Refreees Association (NFRA), Otunba Tade Azeez. The late President of the NFRA died on Friday.
The Kwara council, in recognition of the exemplary leadership and dedication of the former NFRA helmsman to the development of the Association held a minute silence in his honour ahead of the kick off of the NLO first game in Kwara Centre on Saturday between La Planet FC and ABS Ilorin FC at Kwara Football Academy pitch in Ilorin.
According to a statement from the Assistant Secretary of the Council, Surakat Mahmud Taiye , the late President played a significant role in the development of Nigerian Referees and will forever be remembered.
"We are saddened by the demise of our former President, Otunba Tade Azeez. His impacts and legacy will continue to inspire excellence in this noble profession. He will be sorely missed. " He said.
Otunba Tade Azeez was the President of the NRA from 2015-2023.
