Kwara FA Chairman lauds organisers of Seyi Tinubu Cityzens Cup for upholding football standards 



The Chairman of Kwara State Football Association,Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa Thuraya, has commended the organisers of the Seyi Tinubu Cityzens Cup for compliance with football standards.

Thuraya made the remarks while speaking to journalists at the venue of  quarterfinal matches for the tournament at Government Day Secondary,Karuma in Ilorin.

The Chairman, who performed the official kick off for the quarterfinal games, commended the organisers for the provision of security, medical officials, Ambulance and other essential services to ensure a hitch free tournament.

He noted that the FA is satisfied with the tournament as it also provides an opportunity for discovering talented footballers.

"The FA will always support activities that align with our goals of football development at the grassroots. I also commend the organisers for upholding football standards in organisation and set up - it's exactly what we are preaching" he stated.

Some of the guests at the event include Chairman of Asa Local Football Council,  Alhaji Mujeeb Ibrahim Erubu; Vice Chairman of Ilorin East Local Football Council who also doubles as the Special Assistant to FA Chairman on Technical matters,Alhaji Ahmed Abdallah; Chief Mrs. Abimbola Olaoye the Proprietess of Olabim Football Academy and a member of female football development committee and a host of others.
