Battle for glory continues as Seyi Tinubu Cityzens Cup enters quarter final Stage in Kwara 


It's going to be another round of interesting matches  and scintillating performance from players when the quarter finals of the ongoing Seyi Tinubu Cityzens Cup take centre stage on Tuesday,  April  15, 2025 at Karuma Secondary schools in Ilorin.

According to the pairings and the match schedule released by the organisers, FC Zeus will take on Ka'ah FC in the first match of the day at 10 am in an encounter expected to herald a wave of tough matches.

JAD FC, who secured a shocking 1-0 victory over Abraysports FC in the first round, will be matching up with NA Royal in the second match of the day at 12 pm.

The travellers from the Kwara North,  Tsaragi Emirate FC, will face off with the NLO side, La Planet FC, who dispatched D'Aztecs FC in the first round by four goals thriller.

The last schedule,which is the biggest showdown of the day, will see Kwara Football Academy boys face Asa United FC by 4pm.

According to the convener of the tournament, Aliu Olamilekan Bello, every arrangement has been made to ensure a hitch free schedule in the quarterfinals stage.

He said "We are all prepared for the advance stage. It's going to be an interesting fixtures and the fans and supporters will love the atmosphere. "

In his own remarks, the CEO of Steady Global Investment,  Lawal Moyosore Tijani, stated that the organising committee is committed to delivering best of the tournament, adding that the momentum generated so far will be sustained.

"We are very happy with the progress of the tournament and the quality of the games seen so far. We are not going to relent on our efforts to ensure that the tournament is well delivered. Tijani noted.

The semi-finals games are expected to be held at the Kwara Football Academy pitch on Thursday, April 17 while the grand finale is scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 19 at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl of the Major General George Innih Stadium Ilorin.
