Nigeria's Flying Eagles Head Coach, Aliyu Zubairu disowns 'impersonating' facebook page
The Head Coach of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria and the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors, Coach Aliyu Zubairu has dissociated himself from a purported Facebook page where transfer of some certain footbllers are being promoted.
This was contained in a statement personally signed by the tactician on Tuesday, noting that the handler is an impersonator, and did not anyway authorise any activity on the said page which bears his name and pictures.
"It's really shocking to me. I want to use this moment to tell the public that i am not the owner of the purported facebook page and clearly dissociate myself from it" he said.
Coach Zubairu however warned the public to disregard any information on the said page, even as he added that his personal facebook account is not currently active.
"I'm fully committed to the task at hand and I had not even operated my own personal Facebook account for a very long time, because it's inactive. So, I urge the public to disregard the said page and also severe connection with it, if there's any" he further stated.
The tactician, who guided the Flying Eagles team to a historic WAFU-B championship victory last October and recently took the team to Cote'Divoire for a friendly game with the Ivorians is currently tutoring the team ahead of the Nations Cup in the same country.
Meanwhile, a further search on the said facebook page revealed that it was recently created in March this year. In retrospect, impersonators and parody accounts of top personalities are easily found on the social media pages, and are most often used for fraudulent schemes and activities.
