We'II win Sardauna cup - Asa Football Council Chairman

The Chairman of Asa Local Government Football Council,  Alh.Mujeed Ibrahim Erubu has said Asa Local Government Area will emerge victorius in the ongoing maiden edition of Sardauna of Ilorin football tournament currently going on at the Kwara State Stadium Complex. 

Erubu stated this yesterday while answering questions from newsmen, shortly after the  screening of all the participating Local Governments Football Clubs.

According to him, 'there is no doubt the fact that Asa is well prepared for this tournament and we have the best players and technical crew to deliver the trophy to the local Government.'

"We're well prepared for this tourney. We're more than average and we have best legs. We have good technical crew.  I want you to believe with me that Asa Football club has the withertoo to win this cup.

"I want to thank the organizers for a well thorough screening which went on very fair and transparent. They have given all the participants a level playing ground and to us in Asa Local Government we are free to go, " the Asa FA Chairman affirmed. 

The however used the medium to laud the Executive Governor of Kwara State,  Mall AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's performance in the area of sports, describing him as a doyen of sport.

"The Governor is doing well as all of us can attest to. He has given us an enabling sporting environment to strive, part of which he revived the Kwara State Sport Festival after decades of neglect. 

"He has rejevunates dilapidated facilities at the Kwara State Stadium Complex,  alongside bringing face-lift to the Indoor Sport Hall. The Governor is Mr. Sports. He knows and understands the rudiments of sports, " Ibrahim said.

Asa Local Government Football Club however played a stalemate with Baruteen Local Government in their opening match of the competition.
