FINAL FAREWELL: Joseph Igiri, A Dedicated Soul, Laid to Rest

Today, February 6th, 2025, the football family and loved ones will gather to bid farewell to a dedicated and passionate individual, Joseph Igiri, former Welfare Officer of ABS Ilorin. Joseph will be laid to rest at the Sunday Igiri compound, at Amechi Izhiamgbo Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.

Joseph Igiri's passing on December 21st, 2024, after a brave battle with illness, left a void in the hearts of many. His dedication to the beautiful game and his selfless service to ABS Ilorin will be deeply missed.

As a Welfare Officer, Joseph was the pillar of support for the team, always ensuring the well-being of players and staff. His kindness, compassion, and warm smile made him a beloved figure in the football community.

Joseph's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. His bravery in the face of adversity and his unwavering commitment to his duties will continue to inspire us.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable individual, we take comfort in the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide us. Rest in peace, Joseph Igiri. Your dedication, passion, and kindness will never be forgotten.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt. Coach Aliyu has earlier won the heart of Nigerians after leading the team to WAFU-B championship back in October last year and he's banking on their support again to win the AFCON
