POSTPONED: Sardauna of Ilorin Cup unveiling gets Friday, January 10 new date


The unveiling ceremony for the first edition of the Sardauna of Ilorin U-16 Football Competition has been postponed. Originally scheduled for today 7th January 2025, the event will now take place on Friday, 10th January 2025 at the Kwara State Football Academy Conference Room by 3:00 pm.

Organizers, Ultimate Sports Consult Ltd., have announced that the change in date was due to unforeseen circumstances. The unveiling will still feature the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji, Chairmen of the 16 Local Governments, and other notable sports stakeholders.

The competition will officially commence on January 28th, 2025, following the arrival of the participating teams on January 27th.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
