Coach Aliyu Zubairu Kiddies U13 Cup Reaches Climax in Ilorin

The Coach Aliyu Zubairu Kiddies U13 Cup has reached its exciting conclusion, with Barca Kiddies and Dickalo FA securing their spots in the grand finale.

The tournament, held at the Kwara Football Academy pitch, has lived up to its expectations, entertaining fans and football enthusiasts throughout.

In the semifinals, Barca Kiddies edged Future Stars 5-4 in a thrilling penalty shootout. Meanwhile, Dickalo FA defeated Kingshood FA 1-0, thanks to an unfortunate own goal by Abdullahi Ayuba.

The stage is now set for the final showdown between Dickalo FA and Barca Kiddies, scheduled for Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at the KFA Pitch inside the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin by 4pm. Future Stars will face Kingshood FA in the losers' final at 3pm.

The tournament, hosted in honor of Nigeria's U20 National team coach, has been a resounding success, providing a platform for young talent to shine.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt. Coach Aliyu has earlier won the heart of Nigerians after leading the team to WAFU-B championship back in October last year and he's banking on their support again to win the AFCON
