Coach Aliyu Zubair, Abdullahi Biffo others honoured with Abdul Momoh Photography Ambassadorial Award

Kwara State recently witnessed a grand celebration of sports excellence as the Abdul Momoh Photography Masterclass Ambassadorial Awards recognized outstanding sports personalities in the state.

The awards honored the contributions of esteemed individuals who have made significant impacts on sports development in Kwara State.

The highlight of the event was the special recognition of Coach Aliyu Zubair, the Nigeria U20 head coach and El-Kanemi Warriors, who led the Flying Eagles to clinch the WAFU B championship in Togo, securing Nigeria's participation in next year's U-20 AFCON, he also won the President Federation Cup and also qualified El-Kanemi Warriors to the Nigeria premier football league.

Other notable awardees included former Kwara United Coach Abuduliahi Biffo, Chairman of Abraysports FC Abdullah Yussuf, Chairman of the Sports Writers Association (SWAN) Kwara State chapter Ayodeji Ismail, and Secretary Dare Kuti.

Additionally, ABS Ilorin FC's head of media Tosh Michaels, Odetunde Michael of Royal FM, Yemi Sodeeq of SportsPro, and Yemi Adewale of Flow FM were honored with commemorative medals for their tireless efforts in promoting sports development in the state.

Coordinator of ABS Ilorin Football, Mallam Jimoh Bashir and CEO Just Event, Aiyelabegan Abdulrasaq also received  commemorative medals for their contributions to sports in the state.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt. Coach Aliyu has earlier won the heart of Nigerians after leading the team to WAFU-B championship back in October last year and he's banking on their support again to win the AFCON
