Draws for 2024 Kwara SWAN Media Games Set for December 6

The eagerly awaited draws for the 2024 Kwara State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Media Games will take place on December 6, 2024, as confirmed by Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, chairman of the organizing committee.

Chief Chukwuemeka emphasized the importance of the event, describing it as a platform that fosters camaraderie, promotes physical fitness, and enhances professional growth among journalists.

According to a statement issued by the Committee Secretary, Sodiq Adebara, the one-day multi-sport event is scheduled for December 19, 2024. Designed to encourage unity, healthy living, and celebrate the sporting prowess of media professionals, the games will feature competitions in volleyball, squash, chess, badminton, scrabble, and table tennis, involving all chapels under the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Kwara State.

The draws will be conducted by the Technical Consultant for the games, Alhaji Ahmed Abdulahi at SWAN Secretariat, Taiwo Awoniyi Sports Resort Centre by 3pm, setting the stage for the competitions.



The grand finale will include a football match between the SWAN football team and a team of professionals at the Kwara Football Academy. The event will conclude with a seminar, offering participants opportunities for networking, sharing insights, and celebrating their achievements.
