Coach Aliyu Zubair takes bold step to improve coaching experience ahead of U20 AFCON 



Ahead of the U20 African Cup of Nations in South Africa next year, the Head Coach of the victorious Flying Eagles of Nigeria, Aliyu Zubair has commenced his 2-week training attachment at FC Montana in Bulgaria.

Aliyu, who is also the Technical Adviser of El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri is known for his passion for excellence and the move to undergo the training is driven by his zeal to keep up with the modern trend of football.

His decision has been widely commended by Nigerians and football stakeholders who believe the gaffer is one of the biggest revelations in the Nigerian football space in 2024.
Promoting the El-Kanemi Warriors back to the NPFL and guiding the team to the President Federation Cup glory didn't only speak to his ability and competence as a coach but a testament to his consistency, commitment and hard work.

His exploits with the Flying Eagles where he deployed his technical and tactical abilities to manage the team within the space of 39 days of his appointment and qualifiied the team for U20 AFCON and also won the WAFU-B trophy also stood him out amongst his peers.
As one of the few Nigerian Coaches who  believes in young talents, Aliyu is taking his coaching experience to another level and the technical attachment will not only further deepen his knowledge of the game but also widen his horizons. 

At FC Montana, Aliyu will have the opportunity to understudy the club's structure, technical and tactical set up, match operation and players' management. 

His experience would prove more invaluable to the Flying Eagles in the the upcoming AFCON where the team hopes to replicate their achievement in Togo by winning the trophy and qualify for the World Cup in Chile.
