Africa has talented footballers than Europe- Coach Aliyu Zubairu

Nigeria has been described as a country with abundant of talents compared to Bulgaria and other European countries.

The Head Coach of Nigeria U20 team, the Flying Eagles and El-Kanemi Warriors, Coach Aliyu Zubairu stated this during an  interview on a Whatsapp sports platform "Sports Connect" on Wednesday 11th, December, 2024. 

Coach Zubairu who is in Bulgaria for a two-week training with FC Montana disclosed that, Nigeria and as a whole Africa are far ahead of the European countries in terms of talents.

"If you talk of talents, I think Nigeria is far ahead most of the  European countries not even Bulgaria as it is" 

He explained that, the only thing that could make the difference for most of the African countries compared to Europe is having the will power to understand their problems and deal with them precisely.

Zubairu noted that, the European countries are ahead in terms of sporting equipment and facilities, saying that African countries can't be compared with them. 

"When we talk of facilities and equipment,  we are  no where to be compared with them, I think that is the only area they are ahead of us" he said.

He noted that, scientific aspect of football is what has contributed immensely to the development of football in Europe, Bulgaria not an exception. 

Coach Aliyu Zubairu however, concluded that the Europeans are not making mistake for  coming to Africa due to the abundance talent in it.
