Niger Governor's Cup: Minna Emirate Prince gives support to emirate's representatives

The Younger brother of the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Sale Bahago has supported football teams of the five local government areas representing the Emirate in the ongoing Niger State Governor's cup football competition holding in Lapai, with Jersey and Cash.
The Chairman of Minna emirate football organization, Alhaji Abdullahi L.S Dangana made this disclosure on Saturday, during the presentation of the cash to the teams, at Layali hotel, Lapai.
He explained that Alhaji Bahago had earlier donated a set of football jersey to the Chanchaga local government team before realizing that Chanchaga local government was not the only local government representing the Emirate, and decided to give a cash support of ₦20,000 each to the remaining four teams.
Alhaji Dangana urged the participants to put up a good attitude and represent the Emirate well in the ongoing Governor's cup.
While appreciating the gesture, the Minna Emirate football organization Chairman also called on other well to do individuals to emulate the gesture, and urged the beneficiaries to use what was given to them judiciously.
The board member representing the Emirate in the state football association, Comrade Barau Awaisu Kuta who did the presentation on behalf of the donor appreciated the gesture, saying it was very commendable.
He observed that Minna emirate is one of the most respected emirate in the state being the host of the state capital, and expressed optimism that other sons and daughters of the Emirate would want to emulate the good gesture.
Comrade Barau Awaisu also appreciated the members of Fresh Ambassadors football organization for their intent to organize a football tournament for teams in the emirate. He urged the participants to remain focus, discipline and play by the rules of the game in the ongoing Governor's Cup.
The Ward Head of Alagbado in Ketaren Gwari district of the Minna Emirate, Mohammed Musa Yaro who spoke on behalf of the Emirate and the family of the philanthropist said more of such gesture were coming as they were already in consultation with some of their colleagues.
He also appreciated the gesture and urged the beneficiaries to utilize it for the purpose it was meant for..
The sports secretary of Bosso local government, Moses Bulus Manzo who spoke on behalf of all the beneficiaries appreciated the donor for the gesture and pray for all those who initiated the move that yielded the fruitful outcome.
