Nigerian football fans have every reason to celebrate as Coach Aliyu Zubairu continues his remarkable success streak in 2024, establishing himself as one of the most successful coaches of the year. 

His achievements have been nothing short of extraordinary, earning him national recognition and admiration.

In an impressive display of coaching prowess, Coach Zubair first led Elkanemi Warriors to promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in 2024. From the rough dungeons of the NNL, his all-conquering side proved to be one of the best sides in the country and earned a deserved promotion.

Not stopping there, he guided the team to win the prestigious President Federation Cup, showcasing his talent for bringing out the best in his players on the national stage.

Following his success with Elkanemi Warriors, Coach Zubairu was appointed Head Coach of the Flying Eagles, Nigeria's U-20 team, in 2024, succeeding Ladan Bosso.

Under his leadership, the Flying Eagles claimed the WAFU-B trophy and secured qualification for the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), setting the team on a promising path to future victories.

It was a difficult road to Gold in Togo. He had very limited preparations but he still managed to put together a solid team that conquered West Africa.

Coach Zubair’s 2024 achievements have made waves across Nigerian football and inspired fans and players alike. 

His leadership, dedication, and skill continue to elevate his teams, with the nation eagerly anticipating more triumphs under his watch.

Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
