Akanni Akeem Impressed in Super Eagles training with Goal

Akanni Akeem, Kwara United's dependable midfielder, impressed at the Super Eagles B training session in Abuja on Wednesday, scoring a goal as the team prepares for the CHAN qualifiers against Ghana, set for December. 


Akanni’s exceptional start to the 2024/25 NPFL season earned him this national call-up, along with teammates GK Nurudeen Badmus, Junior Aimufua, Ibrahim Yahaya, and assistant captain Kabir Muhammed.

Kwara United General Manager, Mallam Bashir Badawiy while reacting to the development, praised the invited players, expressing confidence in their ability to excel in the CHAN Eagles squad.


He highlighted the club’s philosophy of developing young talent, emphasizing that this achievement showcases the club’s commitment to nurturing players who can perform on national and international stages.

Mallam Badawiy who is in Abuja to offer moral support, reaffirmed Kwara United's mission to build a team that resonates with football-loving fans in Kwara.


Meanwhile, Kwara United is intensifying preparations for their NPFL matchday 11 clash this weekend against Nasarawa United at the Lafia City Stadium. Spirits are high in the Harmony Boys camp, with players and officials determined to secure maximum points and improve their position on the league table.
