Coach Aliyu Zubair eyes AFCON U20 ticket with Flying Eagles 



The Head Coach of the Flying Eagles of Nigeria has stated that the team will ensure to pick up a ticket to U20 AFCON.

After losing their first game against Burkina Faso, the team bounced back on Thursday and secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Cote'd'ivoire. 

While noting that the performance was an improved one from his boys, the tactician noted that they were jittery in their first game.

“The boys were jittery in the first game and that’s usually what you get in an opening game, but today you could see that it was a much improved team,” Aliyu Zubairu said.


Admitting that the win against the Ivorians is a huge relief for the team, he said that their next game will  be much better and the team can't afford to miss out from AFCON.

"In the semifinal you will see a better Nigerian team.We cannot compromise because we have to qualify for the U20 AFCON.” he quipped
