Cherubim and Seraphim FPS Academy Rewards Excellence with Scholarships

Omu-Aran and Edidi Communities Hail Academy's Investment in Future Leaders, 
October 29, 2024 - The people of Omu-Aran and Edidi have praised the Cherubim and Seraphim FPS Academy for awarding scholarships to outstanding students from both communities.


Dr. Jide Ojomu, Chairman of C&S FPS Academy and a renowned former Nigerian international handballer expressed his delight in supporting students' education. "I'm overwhelmed and delighted to encourage students in their studies. This is just the beginning; we believe more talents will be discovered in other Kwara State communities."

The academy is committed to nurturing young talents through education and sports, empowering future leaders and promoting community development


The academy's Handball unit recently made waves by representing Enugu State at the Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, winning the male and female gold medals for Delta that eventually won overall.


Head Coach of the Athletic unit, Mr. Adebola Moses, presented the scholarships to the deserving students.


A parent of one of the beneficiaries, who spoke with Sportspro News, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Chairman of C&S FP Sports Academy for his kind gesture. "I'm deeply grateful for this generous scholarship program. It's a wonderful example of giving back to the society. I urge individuals to emulate this initiative."


Seven outstanding students from Omu-Aran and Edidi who received scholarships are:

1. Abigail Afolagboye (Ofe Aran Grammar School, Omu-Aran)
2. Ketura Amos (Ofe Aran Grammar School, Omu-Aran)
3. Adeola Onipede (Ofe Aran Grammar School, Omu-Aran)
4. Ifeoluwa Kolawole (Government Christian College, Omu-Aran)
5. Agnes Michael (Victory Comprehensive College, Edidi)
6. Elizabeth Fabiyi (Victory Comprehensive College, Edidi)
7. Marvelous Odelowo (Victory Comprehensive College, Edidi)


The scholarship presentation ceremony was well-attended by:

- Principals of Ofe Aran Grammar School and Government Christian College
- Parents of the beneficiaries
- Chief Mrs Moni Makanjuola
- Other esteemed guests

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt. Coach Aliyu has earlier won the heart of Nigerians after leading the team to WAFU-B championship back in October last year and he's banking on their support again to win the AFCON
