NIGERIA @ 64 By ADEYEMO Kehinde Nafiu

O My home! O My home!! O My home!!!

Externally my home was looked upon as the most peaceful abode to dwell by it's neighbouring Africa countries and the whole world but internally my home seems to be most tragic disaster that has ever happened to Africa continent because why does the Giant seems weak and  feeble despite the saying that we are the giant of Africa.

I will be unpatrotic and selfish if i said we are not progressing as a nation indeed we are doing well in ensuring our Education standard is bastardized  using recent hike in school fees for all federal institutions but only to bring initiative of Students loan that won't even last students in question a fortune, where the poor parents are forced to give up on education for their children. How will a sane person tripled school fees payment yet there is no reflection of it in student welfare. I shouldn't dwell much on this because it's a topic for another day. Our security is a topic to write nothing home about because both  air, rail and road routes are not secured any longer rather most of the transport routes are death zone for the poor masses despite number of security agents and personnel in our said country less I forget we have one of the best land army in Africa.

Our health sector ought to be one of the best but the rate at which quack and unqualified health personnel are produced in my country and the qualified and capable one reinforced themselves by making  way out of the country for  greener pasture since their country refuses to pay quota they deserve as a medical personnel.

Our economy is a promising one because the world is aware how blessed we are, in time of natural resources but the drop in naira value which makes a dollar above my country's highest currency is mind blowing and alarming. Our leader don't feel concerned since most of their funds is in dollar value or at most Bitcoin.

But our politicians carted away treasury of the nation to foreign country for investment and others but only sees our dear nation as only abode they can be buried upon taking their last breath but felt not worthy of their multimillionaire investments.

Let's ask ourselves some questions: Who is responsible for all this? Political leader, Religious leader,Traditional leader or we the electorate?

To be honest with ourselves we are all responsible for the set back and our political office holder share the highest stakes. Political position in the era of those who fight for Nigeria independence is tagged an avenue to serve humanity but now an avenue for them to cart away public funds but instead of the electorates making our voices more echo to challenge their mischievous acts some part of us choose defend them with all we got to mislead the general public that they are doing well, which triple the problem we encounter because of meagre stipend that won't last them a fortune.

We 've not done well all in our ends rather we blame everything on government while the government do the same not knowing we are all responsible for it.

On the occasion of this independent celebration i hope and pray my home will be a peaceful abode to dwell unto, and be an  icon of hope for  other Africa countries and world can reckon with in time of economy, education, security and many others Ameen.

Failure to celebrate independent is like complaining of not celebrating father's day because your dad is poor or has a set back in a particular area you want him to do more better.

On this note and occasion of the Nigeria 64th INDEPENDENCE I said

"Happy Independent to my home
