Irepodun football council congratulates new local government chairman, seeks support for football dev't



The Irepodun local football council under the chairmanship of Mr. Joel Emmanuel Sunday, who is also known as Obee has congratulated the newly elected executive chairman of the Irepodun local government area of Kwara State, Honourable Azeez Yakubu Tinuola.

In a statement personally signed by the football council chairman, he congratulated Honourable Tinuola and wished him a successful tenure.

While noting that Honourable Tinuola has always been supporting sporting activities, including football when he was a councilor and during his tenure as Vice chairman of Irepodun local government, he expressed confidence in his ability to deliver in his mew office 

Obee emphasized the significance of football as a unifier and seek utmost support from the new Chairman to develop football at the grassroots level.

"All the football stakeholders in the Irepodun local government congratulate the new Chairman on his emergence and assure him of our support.

While noting that the football council is a partner in progress with his administration, he urged the chairman to leverage the structure of the football council to develop the youth and also help talented footballers to achieve their dream.

"We want to use this medium to urge him to activate a synergy with the Irepodun football council towards the development of the game at grassroots level and our footballers.

"Irepodun is blessed with a lot of football talents and we call on the new Chairman to support our programmes and initiatives in order to unearth their potentials and expose them to the world" Obee added.

He however prayed to Almighty God to grant Honorable Tinuola strength and wisdom to drive Irepodun local government to its deserved heights.
