'We are a work in progress' Osho reacts to loss to Beyond Limits in Optima Energy Gold Cup Opener

The Head Coach of ASVO FC of Benin Republic has described the team's 3-0 loss to Beyond Limits FA in their Optima Energy Gold Cup preseaon tournament as an eye opener for the team.

The experienced gaffer noted that the game offered them a lot of insights as the team continues to build up for the new season.

"It's a preseason tournament, and the match was a good one for us looking at the standard of the team we played against.

"We are the biggest gainer in this match because, as a team that's just two weeks into training, it's quite glaring for us where we need to improve and work on—which is why we are in Nigeria," he stated.

He further stated that the team is not desperate for a win at all costs, adding that there is more work to do as a team that is transitioning.

"We are a team in transit, and we have a lot of work to do. Another set of players will be featured in the next game because we are not going to repeat the same players—we are not here to win the tournament but to build our team," he stated.

ASVO FC will face off with Ijebu United by 10 a.m. on Saturday in their second game as they continue their preseason program in Nigeria.
