Kwara FA Chairman endorses Pro Route League 


The Chairman, Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Idris Abdullahi has endorsed the Pro Route League. 

The endorsement was the highlight of the meeting between the organisers and the FA Chairman on Tuesday.

Pro Route League (PRL) is a private football league initiated with the sole aim of giving talented footballers opportunity to showcase themselves and maximize their talents.

The Chairman commended the league organisers for initiating the league and for identifying with the state football association.

The league opening match is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 26, 2024 with the game between Kwara Football Academy and Skillz FC at the KFA Pitch.

The opening ceremony will kick off at 3:30pm on Friday, and it's expected to be graced by top personalities and stakeholders.

As part of the effort to also create an economy value around the project, the league   has also signed a partnership deal with an African scouting platform, Afriskaut.

Other matchday one fixtures will continue on Sunday at the Kwara football Academy pitch.

Maiduguri-born Tahur Maigana makes Flying Eagles AFCON squad One of the talents to look out for in the upcoming U20 AFCON is Tahir Maigana The young player who was born and bred in Maiduguri, Borno State, is plying his trade with Wireless Football Club based in Abuja, Nigeria.  The natural left footer is a genius and will wow the spectators during the tournament. Recall that Coach Aliyu Zubairu, the Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri will lead the U20 team to the AFCON in Egypt.
